Senior Anastasia Luke will be attending Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama this fall. AJ will be majoring in business. She isn’t sure what path she wants to take after she graduates from college, but believes business is a good major to start with.

She chose Auburn because she always wanted to move South for college. Auburn was her top school, but she said she wasn’t sure if she would get in. Once she received her decision letter, she was set on attending. She said, “I wanted to be down South, and it was one of my favorite schools I visited. I like the sports culture they have there.” AJ is planning on rushing when she gets to Auburn in the fall l, as she feels it is a great way to get involved and meet new people.

At Morgan, AJ played girls soccer for two years, girls basketball for four, and has run outdoor track for four as well. AJ will miss her teammates immensely. She said, “I’ve always played sports since I was younger. I’m pretty competitive, so sports are something I enjoy doing.”

AJ has also been an amazing student. Throughout the past four years, she worked diligently in her classes, leading her to success. AJ is also a very creative student, thriving in art and business classes. She said, “My favorite class I’ve taken is probably graphic design with Mr. Enoch or entrepreneurship with Rich because of the creativity I was allowed to have.” AJ has been working during Journalism to create digital flags for the Senior Destinations event that will be held on May 1st, 2024 during advisory.

She also expressed gratitude for Mr. Richetelli, “I want to thank him for being a great teacher and showing me the importance of managing your money. I have learned a lot of great life lessons from his classes.” Mr. Richetelli said, “AJ is a very hard working student. I thoroughly enjoyed having her in class and will miss her.”

AJ said, “My biggest inspiration is probably my older brothers and my parents because they have all been really successful, and I admire their hard work.” She also expressed the importance of the soccer team to her and said, “My favorite memory here is probably joining Morgan Girls Soccer. I quit for two years, but I came back to the best team.” AJ is excited to move to Alabama but said, “I’m going to miss the soccer team and my friends.”
