Morgan Students Share How They Earn Money
Addy Reed

Many Morgan students have after-school or weekend jobs to make some extra money. The minimum working age in Connecticut is 16. The minimum wage in Connecticut is $15.69 per hour. Morgan students work at a variety of jobs. Some students are hostesses at restaurants, others are waitresses, receptionists, daycare workers, and retail workers. Students who are not yet 16 can still make money. Some jobs that do not require workers to be 16 including soccer referees, golf course caddies, and lifeguards. For teenagers who are 16 or 17 years old, restrictions apply for work. They can only work up to 6 hours per day/32 hours per week. 8 hours per day is allowed on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Looking for a job? Enjoy this video in which Morgan Students share where they work and if they recommend it.
