Sophomore Cookie Fundraiser

High Hopes for Success

Every year,  student government officers are responsible for fundraising for their class to pay for proms, senior trips, and class events. This year, the sophomore class faced a few setbacks during their fundraising process. However, in November, they had a successful popcorn fundraiser hosted by Double Good where they fundraised over $300.

In hopes of a highly profitable fundraiser, the sophomores’ main focus was their Winter Formal, which was planned to for January. Due to undisclosed conditions, administration pushed the Winter Formal to March. Due to low ticket sales and the date being too close to prom, the sophomores unfortunately had to call the dance off. The planning of both dances was a commitment and a time-consuming fundraiser for the officers and representatives.

Sophomores’ table for order forms and cookie samples

The sophomores are currently holding a gourmet cookie fundraiser, in hopes of a huge success. Sophomore Andrew Randi’s father, a professional chef, will give the sophomores one hundred percent of the proceeds. There will be two flavors of cookies: chocolate chip and double-chunk chocolate. There will be 3 packs: 4 for eight dollars, 6 for ten dollars, and 8 for twelve dollars. Cookie orders will be available throughout the weeks of April 29th and May 10th during each lunch wave.

On May 15th, the cookies will be delivered to The Morgan School and will be available for pickup from 2:15-4:00. Andrew Randi is the class president, and he believes this fundraiser will compensate for the dance: “So far we have received positive feedback from a lot of students and faculty members. We have had a strong start of being able to fill out order forms and students from our class have been participating in either buying or selling.”

Fill out a cookie order form during lunch to support the class of 2026 and enjoy the gourmet cookies made by the generous Mr. Randi.
