Swoosh for Change 2024: March 28th

Students vs Faculty

Swoosh for Change is back for 2024! On March 28, at 6:00pm, the students and faculty will face off in a full 4 quarter basketball game. The winner will be named the 2024 Swoosh for Change champion. There is a $5.00 admission fee, and kids under 5 years old are free to watch. During halftime, there will be a half court shot for $1.00, a raffle, and a performance from our very own Morgan Rock Band.

There have been a few changes this year. One of the changes is that the funds gained from the game are being 50/50 split between the Clinton Food Pantry and the Class of 2024. This year, players from our school basketball teams are also allowed to play for the students team. This was never allowed before, due to them still being in season. Plus, there was a high demand to let the basketball players play, to give them a chance against the reigning champions, the faculty team.

Both teams will be coached by seniors from both the girl’s and boy’s basketball teams.

Come out and support this thrilling game between the students and the faculty.

Hi! My name is Gabi Navarra, I’m a junior and this is my third time working for The Morgan PawPrint. I'm on the girl's soccer team and track & field team here at Morgan.  I’m back producing for the PawPrint because I enjoy the freedom and opportunities the PawPrint has given me. I have been able to take photos for both sports and different school events, write articles, and learn how to film and edit videos. This class gives a taste of what it is like to be a journalist out in the real world for those who possibly want to work in the journalism field in the future.
