Girls Soccer Celebrating Senior Night ’23

Honoring 10 Seniors

On Friday, October 20th, Morgan Girls Soccer faced off Old Lyme on senior night. Morgan won 3-2 with a very exciting ending. In the last 20 seconds of the game, senior Glenda Zhiminaicela took a free kick, and senior Maeve Maura tapped it in with five seconds left in the game. The Huskies walked away with the win. On this day, seniors Glenda Zhiminaicela, Maeve Madura, Lillian Tanner, Lilianna Torres, Chloe Jackson, AJ Luke, Maddie Sacta, Mia Digiandomenico, Sam Way, Emely Andino celebrated their senior night. Coaches, parents, and players are all sad to see them leave. Throughout the video, seniors describe what it’s been like to be a part of this team and how it feels to be leaving.

Hi! My name is Gabi Navarra, I’m a junior and this is my third time working for The Morgan PawPrint. I'm on the girl's soccer team and track & field team here at Morgan.  I’m back producing for the PawPrint because I enjoy the freedom and opportunities the PawPrint has given me. I have been able to take photos for both sports and different school events, write articles, and learn how to film and edit videos. This class gives a taste of what it is like to be a journalist out in the real world for those who possibly want to work in the journalism field in the future.

Hi, I’m Rachel Spaziano, and I’m a junior in the Class of 2025! This is my second semester of Journalism, and I am stoked to be back in the PawPrint writing and producing content. I hope to write about new staff members, cover sports events, and create videos exploring Morgan's ideas. I am involved in the Interact Club and participate on two teams here at Morgan, the girls' soccer team and tennis team. I am looking forward to continuing to explore journalism and considering it as a pathway for college and as a career.
