Clinton Starbucks is the favorite coffee spot for Morgan students and teachers. Morgan students and teachers order anything from breakfast and a coffee to an afternoon snack and refreshers.

The Clinton Starbucks opened mid-July in 2022. Before the Starbucks in town opened, the nearest Starbucks location was in Madison. So, students and teachers would go to the Dunkin located near the old Morgan to buy their coffee. The foods Starbucks offer and what students at Morgan love are cake pops, loaves, breakfast sandwiches, and various drinks from Starbucks that help to motivate students to study. A favorite drink for students to buy at Starbucks is a Strawberry Acai Lemonade Refresher. Students mainly go through the drive through or mobile order for it to be more convenient for them for a quick grab and go before school. Students’ favorite time to go to Starbucks during the school week are Fridays.

Not only do students use Starbucks for a drink and food, Starbucks is a comfortable environment for students to socialize with others and study if they have an assignment. Junior Cora Dunham said, “Starbucks is a relaxing atmosphere.”

Sophomore Avery Cutler said, “Waking up in the morning and having the wondrous privilege of being able to

go to our local Starbucks before a long and treacherous day at school is a good one.” One of her favorite drinks at Starbucks is the Strawberry Acai Refresher. She said “I would be devastated along with many others if something were to happen to our beloved Starbucks here in Clinton. We don’t know what we would do without it.”

Since the opening of the Clinton location, there have been a lot less student customers in Dunkin, and more attracted to Starbucks. Sophomore Camryn Mazzarella said, “I enjoy waking up a little early to make a stop at Starbucks before school. It helps me get ready for the day and energizes me for math class.” Students spend anywhere from $5 a week to about $60 a week on Starbucks food and drinks. On average, students take a trip to Starbucks 1 to 8 times a week, spending anywhere from $20 to $240 a month on Starbucks. Junior Ivana Abarca said, “I love the new Starbucks. I spend 20 a week.”
