Criscuolo’s Crazy Christmas Chronicles

Morgan Transforms Ms. Criscuolo’s Classroom

English teacher Eric Carroll had a tradition at his old school, Brien McMahon High School in Norwalk.  All the English teachers would surprise a teacher by filling their classroom with Christmas decorations right before winter break. When he came to Morgan, he proposed this tradition to the Morgan English Department.

The first year, the English Department transformed former English teacher, Heather O’Brien’s classroom. Last year, teachers transformed Art teacher, Jessica Leiss’s classroom. The nominee for this year’s classroom makeover is Mathematics teacher Elizabeth Criscuolo.

Pawprint staff senior Victoria Le and sophomore Leah Scoppa, English teachers Eric Carroll, Leslie Chausse, Maile Chaplar, Eric Peterson, Morgan Seniors Madeline Davenport and Katherine Robinson, and technology support specialist Arron Outama all volunteered to decorate Ms. Criscuolo’s classroom to turn it into a winter wonderland.

The Journalism class and English classes made snowflakes and paper chains. Mr. Carroll gathered the twinkling lights, a fake fireplace, a mini Christmas tree, and all sorts of decorations. Many of Ms. Criscuolo’ s things were wrapped in wrapping paper, including her whole desk.

After about an hour, Ms. Criscuolo’s room was completely transformed.
