The final match was extremely close, but The Morgan Boys Golf Team took the division IV state championship title for the first time in school history. They won with a score of 327 on June 3rd at Crestbrook Park in Watertown, CT. Coach Bergman gave a quote to a reporter from The Day : “This is a proud day for Morgan golf…This is our first state title in school history, and it came down to the final golfer. This team is a bunch of grinders and were mentally tough to the end.” Congratulations to Coach Mr. Bergman as well as golfers Gabe VanNess, Maxx Bugg, Frank Rivas, Kevin Daley, and Tanner Romanos!

Congratulation to the golf team on bring the trophy home. Writing this article is a good way to keep the Morgan students updated on whats going on with sports.
