Between the months of September to December, is a very important and stressful time for all seniors. It is the time of college applications and along with college applications, comes college acceptance letters.

I was very stressed out with this whole process and whether or not I was going to get into my top choice, Iona College. I had submitted all of my applications and checked the mail every day for the letter to come. Since I want to major in Speech and Language Pathology, Iona was my number one choice because the college has a clinic right on campus for practice. The Speech and Language program is also a very well known and successful program that I can start taking classes in my freshman year.The location in New Rochelle, New York and the small medium size of the school are perfect for me. A few weeks ago, I was accepted into my number one school, Iona College, along with University of Maine, University of New Hampshire, and Southern Connecticut State University. Receiving the letter was the biggest relief ever because I knew that my hard work had paid off, and I had been accepted to my ideal school.

Kelsey Donaldson was also accepted into her number one school, Marist College, after choosing that school as an early decision. She plans on majoring in Fashion Merchandising. Bailey Shea, received a full ride to University of Connecticut. Bailey is very excited and has worked so hard to reach this great achievement. TJ Hannon was also accepted into University of New Haven with a scholarship partly because of the work he did on the Freedom of Information Act. 

Tasha Walker was accepted into two of her top choices: Siena College and Bard College. When asked about Bard College, she explained, “I’m really excited about it and will definitely consider going there. It’s a big relief. I really like the Hudson Valley area, and they have a great liberal arts program which is exactly what I am looking for.”

Chris Waterbury was accepted into Franklin Pierce University and Plymouth State University. He said, “I was thrilled being accepted but I’m still waiting to make the final decision because I have not heard from everywhere.”

Amy Dahlberg was accepted into University of New Haven, Central Connecticut State University, and Eastern Connecticut State University. She said, “Most likely I will go to Central!”

Kelly Thompson got into Eastern Connecticut State University and High Point University. She said, “I am really excited; it is a huge relief knowing that all of my hard work paid off.”

Gigi Marino has been accepted into University of New Haven, Eastern Connecticut State University, Johnson and Wales University, and Roger Williams. She said, “I will probably go to Johnson and Wales.”

Erica Richards got into Fairfield University, Western New England University, Stonehill College, Southern Connecticut State University, Johnson and Wales University, and Scranton University.

This is a very exciting time for all of the seniors in The Morgan School and we wish everyone the best of luck getting into their number one schools.
