Special Education teacher Lynn Breton will be retiring at the end of this school year. Mrs. Breton started teaching at Morgan in 2000, and then left to work at Pierson in 2018. When Pierson shut down, she returned to Morgan. She is well-loved by many staff members and students here at Morgan and will be missed greatly.
Mrs. Breton impacted Morgan by being hardworking and caring about her students. She makes sure to understand her students needs so that she can help them succeed in their classes by giving them any extra help they need. Not only is she always doing her best to support her students, but she is always willing to help out other staff members. “She always volunteers to help out even if she is super busy,” said school psychologist Sara Thomas. Special education teacher Lynn Butkus explained that
“she is one of the kindest, most patient people I know.” Social worker Maureen Tranquilli echoed Mrs. Butkus. Of Mrs. Breton, she said, “One of the kindest, caring teachers I have ever met who works so hard to support her students.”
Colleagues know her as a very helpful and thoughtful person, giving other teachers gifts, flowers, and chocolates. She dedicates so much time and effort to her work at Morgan.
Freshman Addy Beck, who is in her advisory, said, “She makes advisories fun and engaging for the whole class.” Many students in her advisory have fun doing the activities with her. Her advisory students talk about having fun playing Wordle at the end of advisory.
