During the boy’s basketball game Monday night, the National Honor Society (NHS) will be hosting an event called “Stuff the Stands”. This special event will not only be a fundraiser but will encourage the Morgan community to come together for a common cause.
The goal of this event is to collect new, small stuffed animals for the annual food pantry’s children’s Easter baskets. To participate in this event, NHS is encouraging students and parents to bring a new stuffed animal to the Morgan boy’s basketball game. The animals will be collected during halftime. It is important to note that these stuffed animals need to be small to be used for the Easter baskets. All donations will be greatly appreciated.
During halftime, NHS and a representative from the food pantry will talk about their cause and the baskets. During this announcement, there will be a countdown created for participants to throw their donated stuffed animals into the court. The animals will later be collected for distribution. If you do not have a stuffed animal to participate with, NHS will also be collecting various Easter items for the baskets such as chocolate bunnies, individually wrapped snacks, or candy. Before entering the gym, there will be a collection bin placed by the gymnasium entrance to drop off the other Easter goods for the basket.
If you would like to attend the game and participate, the boys’ basketball game will be held Monday, March 4th, at 6:30 PM in the Morgan gymnasium. Tickets for the game will be sold online. If you have any questions or request further information about the event, feel free to contact NHS President Robby Estabrook who would be happy to assist in any way possible.
