This Morgan fencing match was a varsity match against North Haven at North Haven High School on Wednesday, January 31st. In each weapon, women have 9 bouts and men have 9 bouts. In total, there are 27 bouts for women and 27 for men.
Men’s epee and men’s foil started at 6:30. Both men’s epee and men’s foil won: 5-4. Women’s epee and men’s saber was next and women’s epee won: 5-4 while men’s saber won: 9-0. After that, women’s saber lost: 3-6, and the women’s foil won: 5-4 .
Sara Morrissey, Joey O’Brien, Demani Howard, and Terry Pollard all went 3-0 for the day. Overall, women lost: 13-14 and men won: 19-8.
The next varsity fencing match will be against Guilford at Morgan High School on Thursday, 2/8 @ 6:30 p.m.
