Seniors Giving Back on Husky Helper Day

The seniors participated in Husky Helper Day which took place on Friday, May 19, 2017. Each person was assigned to one of the sites listed below.

Husky Helper Day Sites:
Fire Department: Wash fire trucks and ambulances
The Joel School: Dressed up as Disney characters to read to the classes
The Town Beach: Cleaned up garbage around the beach area
Hammonassett Beach State Park: Cleaned up garbage, leaves, branches by litter picking
Boxes for Soldiers: Put together care packages to be able to send to the troops
Red Barn Pre-School: Doing activities and arts and crafts with kids
Community Garden: Planted seeds, watered and repaired the fence
Peters Woods, Land Trust: Helping to clean up the area
Historical Society: Spread mulch at the brick building
Shoreline of Clinton: Places that needed help in cleaning; leaves, mulch, planting
