Birthdays are always a fun time, and there happen to be a lot of them during October. Some dates hold multiple birthdays of Morgan students. One of these is October 11th. There are 4 boys 
that all share a birthday on October 11, each from a different grade. Freshman Nick Rubino, Sophomore Paddy Murray, Senior Madden Ward, and me, Junior Stephen Zumpano were all born on October 11. Nick just recently turned 15, Stephen and Paddy both turned 16, and Madden turned 17.
There was further investigation about the likeliness of being born on the same day. It was discovered that in every 57 people there is a 99% chance that two of them will have the same birthday. This means that with a school of 559 students, there will be about 10 pairs of students that have the same birthday.
As of 2006, October has the fourth highest rate of birth out of all 12 months. The second highest is September and the highest is August. The theory behind these late summer/early autumn births was presented by CDC Health Statistics Demographer Paul Sutton. He theorizes that “as the cold of fall and winter come, things start heating up inside the house. People start spending more time inside, and the 9 months end up finishing around summertime or early fall.”
