    Shoreline Dress for Less

Prom season is the most nerve wrecking, stress filled, yet exciting time of junior and senior year. It only comes once a year in two prime times of your high school career. Why spend hundreds of dollars on a dress when you can get a dress for less and help someone in need at the same time? The Shoreline Dress for Less Sale gives girls an opportunity to get a Prom dress for $50 or under and all the money goes towards Art for the Heart.

Every year for the past 3 years, Art for the Heart  raises money to design a bedroom makeover for a young cancer patient.  This year the spring project involves decorating a new bedroom for a local twelve year old girl battling cancer.

Prom is a key highlight in high school, especially during senior year and having a beautiful dress is every girl’s wish. Not only is  The Morgan  School providing a chance for every girl’s wish to come true at a cheaper price, it is also supporting the project that will make this twelve year old’s dream come true. This year a representative from Mary Kay will be there to help girls with their makeup for prom. Sadly, I was informed by Mrs. Nunan who is very involved in this project that , ” this may be the last year Morgan does Dress for Less. It takes a lot of effort.”

Since this news may or may not be true, let’s come together as a community not only to help out the young girl going through a  battle with cancer, but to “make the juice worth the squeeze. “

I really enjoyed this article, I feel that the money in going for a great cause and I sure hope that they can somehow continue it for years to come. It is benefiting the students here at Morgan, and also helping a child in need which is awesome.(:
