The Morgan boy’s soccer team is getting it done on and off the field. The boys have started their season with only two losses as of now, and off the field, they all bond together and have team dinners.

“The team dinners are because there’s just a lot of team bonding and everyone is always together at the dinners, so no one is getting left out. Everyone’s together like freshman through senior, JV varsity, it doesn’t matter. We’re all just a part of the team together,” said senior Zachary Viens.
Team dinners are a very common thing when it comes to sports bonding. Morgan boys soccer uses pasta dinner for everyone to bond and get together to relax and unwind the night before games, rather than competing and going their separate ways. Parents of players on the team contribute to the dinners for athletes to get together.
Sophomore Tanner Adamiec stated his most memorable moment was “probably one that we’re undefeated, and two, our game against HK ’cause, like, we start, like, really bad, but then we were able to, like, turn around, and we ended up beating them in the end.”
The boys are looking to keep their winning season going and win championships. The boy’s haven’t been in to many situations this year that they weren’t leading the game. One game was 8-1 when the Huskies won.

Sophomore, Jay Scoppa, elaborated on his most memorable moment from the season so far being the Haddam-Killingworth game. “Definitely that game, due to it being a really close game, we ultimately needed one last go to win it all,” said Scoppa. Haddam-Killingworth High School and Morgan High School have had a longstanding rivalry in all sports. They are both towns right next to each other, and it is under twenty minutes away from each other.
Captain junior Colton Landino said, “Definitely after the games, you know, if we played bad or good, we all just came together as a team. And definitely in practice, when we did this partner or Team Mile, and we all got a pretty good time for our team, even though some of us are a little bit slow.” The Huskies have come together and are working together to strive for a great season.
