These establishments offer a variety of options, from classic tacos to unique dishes that highlight the essence of Mexican flavors. Morgan students shared their experiences and preferences regarding these restaurants.

* Number 1 is “Papi’s Taqueria,” where you can find the best dishes from Puebla, such as mole and chalupas, in addition to the best service. Located in Old lyme.
Nayele Pugo, a senior an enthusiastic customer, prefers “Papi’s Taqueria” for its dynamic atmosphere and varied menu. She comments that eating there gives her the opportunity to explore new dishes, citing dishes like chicken tacos, cheese quesadillas, and guacamole as her favorites. Nayeli describes eating out, especially during celebrations like birthdays, as a way to enhance the festive atmosphere. “I enjoy vibrant, lively, and surprising spaces,” Nayele Pugo explained.
* Number 2 is “Restaurante Mexcalli” where you can go with friends on a weekend and enjoy an incredible meal. It is also special because it has a very popular specialty dish, “birria pizza.” You can also enjoy the most popular regional Mexican music at high volume, such as “Pepe Aguilar, Fuerza Regida, Los Tigres del Norte, etc.”
Ana Luiza, a junior joins in, sharing her preference for “Mexcalli”. She values the attentive service that comes with eating out, especially during weekend family dinners. Ana emphasizes the importance of food being representative of Mexican culture, and her favorite dish is guacamole with tortilla chips. “It’s not just about the food, but about the experience and the connection to Mexico,” Ana Luiza notes.
* Number 3 is “Cositas deliciosas,” is located in New Haven about 19 miles from Clinton. “Cositas deliciosas” is worth a visit, as you can find the Birria Pizza that isn’t available at other restaurants. Cositas Deliciosas was Haley Munos’ favorite. Haley, a sophomore here at Morgan likes to get takeout, as this restaurant only offers takeout services. Haley Munos, however, prefers the convenience of eating at home and often opts for takeout from “Restaurante Cositas deliciosas.” Her selection often includes comforting dishes like birria con maruchan, which she enjoys in the relaxed atmosphere of her home while watching movies with friends or family. “There’s something uniquely satisfying about savoring spicy food at home, especially dishes that convey the essence from mexico.
Mexcalli is a restaurant where you can go with friends on a weekend and enjoy incredible food, including one of their most requested dishes, the birria pizza.
