Every year school spirit radiates throughout the school during fall sports season. Fall sports at The Morgan School consist of; girls and boys soccer, field hockey, cross-country, swimming, volleyball, cheerleading and of course football.
Girls soccer:

The girls have had a hard season so far, being a fairly young team presents its challanges. The girls starting varsity is composed of 1 senior, 3 juniors and the rest of the starters are sophmores. The team is pushing for the younger team members to strive to become better for the years to come. Captin Ciarra Vanderveen expressed that the team has had a difficult time scoring this year, but the team has recently changed their approach so she hopes that this will push the team to where they want to be. For the rest of the season, however, the girls team is determained to make it to Shorelines and then hopefully to states. We wish all the best for them!
Boys soccer:

This fall season the boys soccer team has faced many changes as well as many challenges. The new boys soccer coach seems to be focusing on teaching the boys how to work as a team to strive to their fullest potential. Although the boys have faced challanges because of sports injuries and medical issues the boys soccer team is still pushing forward in hopes to finish the season as strongly as possible. We wish them the best of the luck!
Field Hockey:

This year the Field Hockey team has a little bit of a challenge. Losing a majority of their seniors last year, this year’s team is extremely young. This presents a challenge for this year but creates an oppertunity to build a stronger team for future years. Although the girls have not won a game yet this season, the team is more focused on preparing the younger team, practicing as a full team not as separate varsity and junior varsity teams. As for the rest of the season, the girls are focused on making as many goals as possible and staying focused on their goal. Best of luck girls!
Cross Country:

In past years, the cross country team has not been the biggest of teams, but this year, under the direction of Coach Underwood, the Cross Country team has not only grown but strived, with Brian Gendron placing 2nd in their previous meet. For the rest of the season, we wish the Cross Country team the best of luck. If you are around town and see a group of high school kids running their hearts out, it is the cross country team doing what they do best.
Swimming:

Swimming has never been a very popular sport at Morgan until recently. Now it is taking the school by storm. The captain of the swim team has shown that she is here to stay. As an amazing swimmer, she puts her all into this sport. All of the students in The Morgan School show their spirit for the swim team. For the rest of the swimming season, we wish Jade and the entire swim team the best of luck before the cold weather comes!
Volleyball:

The easiest way to describe the girls Volleyball team is in one word, Grippo. Coach Grippo is a determined coach that gets results. This year Captain Sarah Dahlberg and sister captains Lily and Jen Dawson are helping Grippo reach his goal of another Shoreline win. The girls are well on their way starting off the season undefeated. Grippo and the girls always push themselves to go above and beyond, and it shows through their constant winning seasons, and this season proves to be no different. The Morgan School hopes nothing but the best season for our lady Huskies!
Cheerleading:

Last year the Cheer team won the NECA championship, led by Captains Allie Rivas and Becca Raab. This year the girls are determined to through harder faster and tighter routines, this determination is due to Captains Katie Costello and Morgan Shaker, with big shoes to fill the Captains of the Cheer team are confident that they have the best team possible to take the squad to the next level
Football:

Friday night lights: Fridays when the boys get dressed in their uniforms, you can feel the excitement throughout the school. This year The Morgan Football team is off to a dominating start, keeping a clean record by winning every game so far. The captains, Riley Cronan, Alex Lipka, Jake Ward, Greg Lee and Mark Zumpano, always go into games determined to win. The boys are on their way to great things. As the season progresses, the wins just seen to accumulate. Come out and experience the Friday night lights feeling and watch our boys do what they do best.
