On Tuesday, December 10, the Morgan Girls Basketball team, coached by Eliot English Teacher Ms. Woods and Morgan Mathematics Teacher Ms. Lynch, played in a scrimmage against Lyman Hall.
The girls started off strong, coming out with energy and the will to win. The starters for the Morgan Huskies included Senior Leah McComiskey, Senior Alyse Olcott, Junior Caitlyn Donadio, Freshman Caeley Ayer, and Senior Rachel Lehn. The subs included Alexandra Kelly, Katie Martin, Maddie Tuccitto, and Maddey Dunham.
The final score, 36-37, was close but the Morgan Huskies could not pull a win. A few players on the team stood out during this game. Junior Caitlyn Donadio and Freshman Caeley Ayer had an outstanding performance in Tuesday night’s game, scoring many points for their team.
The Huskies played four 8-minute quarters, putting up a fight every minute of the game for a close score.
End of 1st Quarter: 14-14
End of 2nd Quarter: 22-24; Lyman Hall
End of 3rd Quarter: 28-25; Morgan Huskies

The rest of the Huskies’ season is looking very promising. They will have some challenging competition this year; however, they are working hard to earn their wins. Their next home game is Friday, December 27, at The Morgan School Gymnasium at 7pm against Portland.
Special thanks to Ms. Holmes for controlling the scoreboard!
