Science teacher Eleni Vossoughi is welcomed by Morgan as the newest Chemistry and Integrated Science teacher.
Ms. Vossoughi, who prefers to be called Ms. V, began her first year teaching this school year and feels as though Morgan couldn’t have been a better place for it. “Meeting all of the staff members, right off the bat, were so kind and supportive,” she says. “It really felt like home for me.”
Ms. V will also be assistant coach to the girls volleyball team this season. After playing volleyball at Nathan Hale-Ray High School, she has the motivation to coach the Morgan girls to victory against her old team. She also has very high hopes for this year’s team. “When you walk in the gym, it’s like a powerful feeling because everyone’s so close with each other,” she said.
Joining Morgan’s ranks as a science teacher, Ms. V is pushing for her students to step outside of their comfort zones in her class this year. “The more risks that you take, the more experience you get,” she said. She believes that she had great teachers pushing her limits, and she wants to be one for the students at Morgan.
With her first school year underway, Morgan wishes Ms. V the best in her new teaching career.
