On Friday, May 28th at the Clinton Town Beach, Interact held the 2019 Beach Bash. There were many fun activities for the students and plenty of food to eat. There was a live band and beach volleyball. This event was started by ¨The alumni officers,” according to Interact President Emma Iovene. She said, “I came up with the Beach Bash concept in 2017 with the donations going to women in Nepal and the following year it went to the victims of Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico.¨
From this event, the students raised a total of $600. ¨The beach bash was a ton of fun, and it was a good time to hang out with friends,¨ claimed Junior Alyssa Hackley. Interact donated the money to Project C.U.R.E., which is a nonprofit that donates medical supplies to locations and people who need it and cannot afford it.¨ It was great. We had the School of Rock from Madison come to play. We had the volleyball tournament, and people seemed to have a lot of fun,¨said Junior Emma Iovene
