Once again this year Morgan students are pumped for Halloween. For the past few years, when Halloween falls on a school day, students are allowed to wear their costumes to school, and this year is no exception. Many students take it very seriously by going all out and planning very intricate costumes to impress their peers. The staff usually dress up as well.
If you choose to wear a costume this year, you are asked to either bring in a cash donation or one of the following items: hand warmers, socks, gloves, hats, scarfs, band-aids, bottles of water, baby wipes, towels, underwear, chapstick, soft nonperishable food, soap, toothbrushes, toothpaste, hand sanitizer, gallon ziplock bags, or quarters. Items should be new and in original cases. It is recommended to go to the dollar store to pick up these items.
All funds and items go to the Morgan Husky Leaders who are fundraising for their kindness bags. These are bags that are being filled with non-perishable food items and supplies for the homeless. They will be donated in New York City by the Husky Leaders themselves.
Make sure to dress up and donate this Halloween! Be sure to follow the dress code which includes no full masks or weapons.
