We’ve never exactly had a winter formal here at The Morgan School. We usually have a semi-formal or another dance like homecoming but nothing too special or dressy. This year Mrs. Robinson along with Interact are putting on a formal for February 2nd in the gym. If you buy your tickets ahead of time it will be 12 dollars, and if you buy your ticket at the door it will be 15 dollars. All the money made will go to The Clinton Cancer Relief Fund.
Will you go to the winter formal? This is why you should…
By talking to Mrs. Robinson, I learned that there will also be a professional photographer at the dance for date pictures. But don’t get too worried because you do not need a date to attend this dance. For the pictures, forms will be handed out ahead of time to cause no confusion with bringing money on the 2nd.
There will be different sorts of snacks and refreshments. The snacks will be finger foods, make sure to eat dinner before you come. Besides the dance floor there will be tables and chairs set up. The gym will be filled with an assortment of lights and decorations.
Mrs. Robinson will also be taking requests for music ahead of time. Make sure to stop in to see her if you want a song played. They need to be appropriate though! Feel free to talk to Mrs. Robinson if you have other suggestions!
Boys will need to wear some type of sports jacket and look nice. For the girls, they should wear fancier dresses. This formal is between homecoming and a prom, be sure to dress appropriately. Girls, this does NOT mean you need to go out and buy a long dress.
I hope everyone is able to attend the dance and it is a night to remember!
