“There is a word meant for you and when you find it, live it, and share it. Your life will become more rewarding and exciting than ever.” Jon Gordon wrote a book titled One Word That Will Change Your Life. This book encouraged many Morgan staff and students to choose one word to represent how they want to spend 2017.
The words chosen by these people are words that will help center them over the course of their lifetime, especially throughout the next year. Many of the students and teachers chose words that will help them better themselves in the years to come whether they become more healthy, kind, or hopeful.
Selecting one word to represent the hopes for the entire year is a challenge. Senior Jordyn Suraci said, “I think it’s a good idea because people can get other ideas from their classmates on what they want to achieve throughout the year and that help them stay grounded.” Choosing just one word to follow may be a challenge but can be a lot easier than trying to keep resolutions or meeting goals. Depending upon what word is chosen, it may impact any of the six dimensions of life – mental, physical, emotional, relational, spiritual, and financial.
