Basketball season is back! The first Morgan boys basketball home game of the year was Friday, December 23rd, right before students and staff left for the holidays, against Portland High School. The Dog Pound was excited to go out and show support for the Huskies.
Junior Abby Pitarra said “It was a nice way to get together with everyone again and watch the games in the new gym. I’m excited for the new season.” As the game got more intense so did the student section. By halftime, the score was 24 to 19 with Morgan in the lead. The game was a very aggressive start to the season, and although the boys played a great game, they lost 49-47, only two points behind.
Senior Marcus McDermott said, “I hope my last season in the student section is a good one. I want to continue the legacy of the dog pound this year and watch the boys do what they do best!” The Dog Pound and basketball players are excited for the rest of the season!
