On Thursday, October 6th, the National Honor Society will be hosting its’ annual blood drive with the American Red Cross. Every year, students and faculty have the opportunity to “Give Blood and Save a Life.” Eligible donors have to be 17 or older, weigh a specific amount according to their height, and pass other criteria. Anyone interested in giving blood should seek out an NHS member or NHS President Lindsay Harden to sign up.

Students are encouraged to give blood, not just to skip class or eat the food provided by various donors, but to make a difference in someone’s life. Lindsay explained why students should give blood, “I think it’s something most people can do if they’re not afraid of needles. You’re doing it during school and saving a lot of lives by doing it.”
