Let’s face it: The Morgan School is currently on highly prized property. We are right off the highway next to Clinton Crossing, one of the busier malls in Connecticut. People come from miles around every weekend to Clinton, and when they get here, they see our school. But what happens when we’ve moved to the new school, and we no longer need this building?

Some students suggested  there be a food court and more stores as an extension to Clinton Crossing. Others desired restaurants, the most popular idea being 5 Guys Burgers and Fries. Mrs. Robinson kept mentioning indoor rockclimbing as part of a larger sports complex. Other ideas for the complex would be laser tag, bowling, and paintball. Mr. Luther asked for a wildlife sanctuary while others thought we should improve the town’s learning capabilities with a new library. Mrs. Luther thought a good possibility was a Target, which many others agreed with, giving Clinton residents a convenient place to go for a superstore, instead of driving all the way to Old Saybrook or Guilford for Walmart. Does Clinton have a hotel? Besides the Clinton Motel across from the police station, no. What if we built a Super8 or other standard hotel? We could have a movie theater! We could have a Willy Wonka candy factory!

The ideas are endless. The PawPrint would like to hear what our readers have to think about this property. Please post your ideas in the comment box below.
