Last week on Wednesday, December 16, 2015, The Morgan School Track team participated in a practice track meet. It was a way for all the new runners to get a feel about the whole thing worked.
Senior Sam Shapiro has been running Indoor Track since he was a freshman, and when he was asked if he liked Indoor Track, he replied with, “Yes, very much”. Sam runs the 4×8, 4×4, Sprint Medley, and the mile on occasion.
Senior Lucas Lennox participated in the 4×2 and long jump for the first meet of this new season. When asked if he liked it, Lucas responded with, “I love it. I get pissed when we don’t have Saturday Track practices.”
There are a lot of new participants this year from the Freshmen Class. Although there are a lot of them they each seem to enjoy it more than the next.
Freshman Grace Roman ran the 4×2 for her first meet. When asked how she felt about Indoor Track, her response was, “It’s really fun!”
Freshman Bryce Thomas also ran the 4×2 for the previous event along with the 55 meter dash. “Overall, I really like it!” exclaims Bryce.
Freshman Matt Koziy participated in three events for his first meet. He ran on the 4×4 and 4×8 team and did the high jump. Matt is enjoying his Indoor Track experience.
Freshman Quinn Pender ran the 55 meter dash for his first meet and answered with, “Yes” when he was asked if he was enjoying it.
