This year the Class of 2019 graduating seniors had their annual senior outing at Lake Compounce. There were many mixed feelings about this trip. Many students were confused as to where we were even going. Some students thought they were going to Brownstone, others thought they were attending Six Flags. Even though some students were upset about the destination, they still made the best of the day.

Multiple students were asked how they felt about the trip and what they did to entertain themselves throughout the day. Senior Deven Talarzyck said, “My favorite thing was bonding in line with my friends. ” Deven explained that the lines were too long to have any fun, especially because there were few rides open, and some you had to pay for.

Not having enough money was a very hot topic in the park. Jordona, Deven and Aj all mentioned money was a problem in the park. They all explained how the park tries to scam you and steal your money. “They try to steal your money by not letting you bring anything into the park, food or drink. That forces you to pay for things inside the park, and everything is too expensive.

Some students liked the idea of going to an amusement park. They did not think Lake Compounce was the best choice. “I do recommend an amusement park but not that one,” said Deven. Some students thought the outing on an educational day was a big factor. So some rides were closed, and there were too many schools there to have a good time. Jordona and Deven thought the class should have gone to Six Flags to have a full experience of what an amusement park is like.
