On Thursday, May 16th the baseball team celebrated senior night. The boys won their game against H C Wilcox Technical High School. They mercied Wilcox tech in the 5th inning with a score of 10-0.

The team´s four seniors Captain AJ Fritz, Kyle Burt, Mike Menacho and, Connor Derry were honored that night with the team and their families.

Captain AJ Fritz is continuing his baseball career at Johnson and Wales University where he will study communications. AJ has been playing on the team for 4 years, and his best memory from his 4 years is ¨freshman year playing in a state championship game.¨ The one thing that he has to say to the team for the future is ¨If you ain’t first you’re last, and E.L.E(Everybody love Everybody)¨

Senior Kyle Burt is enlisted in the Army National Guard and will be attending Central Connecticut State University in the spring semester. Kyle has been on the team for 4 years and his best memory is running poles. Advice that Kyle has for the team in future years is ¨ Work hard, play with some pride.¨

Senior Mike Menacho will be furthering his education at UCONN in Storrs for business. Mike has been playing for Morgan for his 4 years in high school and his favorite memory is ¨Kyle Burt hitting a freaking triple at Valley and laying out FULL EXTENSION.¨ Mike said he is ¨proud how we turned the season around after starting 1-7, speaks to our character and grit as a team.¨

Senior Connor Derry has been playing on Morgan Baseball for two years. He will be attending James Madison University next year. His best memory from playing is ¨throwing no-hitter this year.¨ To the team in future years, he said, ¨ Good luck. Keep working hard.¨
