Project Graduation is an overnight event that takes place the night after graduation. This is a chance for the seniors to meet up and have fun, celebrating the completion of their high school career. One of the most exciting parts of Project Grad is that the students are unaware of what and where the event will be until graduation day. The past few years, it has taken place at the Sub Base in Groton.

According to 2017 graduate Matt Capece, Project Graduation last year was a lot of fun. He said that the night consisted of multiple stations. Matt said that they started off by eating food and playing paintball. They were also able to play basketball and jump around on giant bounce houses. He then said that they ended the night by swimming and bowling. The night of Project Graduation is packed with fun activities that appeal to all the students.

Gift Baskets at Auction

Project Graduation is an expensive operation to set up; therefore, many fundraisers take place throughout the year to raise money. One of these events took place on Saturday, March 24. This was a fundraising auction at the Town Hall. There were various baskets with unique prizes. Some of these prizes included a Morgan sweatshirt, a basket of ESPN merchandise, and a free prom tuxedo. Many parents of Morgan students came to this auction to support the senior class. This event was very successful in raising money for the Project Graduation 2018. From this auction alone, they raised $5500.

Parents Meeting at Town Hall

The Project Grad committee has been working very hard for the seniors and are going to make sure that they have a great night of graduation. Snow days have made it difficult for them to schedule the date, but they will make sure that the seniors have an amazing time. They have also raised a lot of money by selling bricks for the school walkway, as well as the hypnotist show.
