For over 10 years Morgan’s World Language Program Chair Laura Luther and a select group of her students go to Joel School as the three kings to celebrate Three Kings Day. Three Kings Day is a religious holiday celebrating the three wise men who traveled with gifts for baby Jesus.  Three Kings Day is much more important in the Spanish culture than Christmas is.  Three Kings Day is on January 6th. This celebration is most popular in Mexico, Puerto Rico, and Spain.

The Morgan students go to Joel School and distribute candy into the shoes of the younger students. They dress in costumes to represent the Three Kings. If the children have questions, the Morgan students will talk to them as if they were the Three Kings, and the kids truly do believe that they are the Three Kings. Mrs. Luther and Joel World Language teacher Maria Moran, work together to make this great event happen.
