Every Halloween season, REACT sponsors the Haunted Hallways at Morgan. Students dress up in their spooky costumes and jump out at unsuspecting visitors. The Haunted Hallways is actually a charity because admission is either three dollars or three canned foods.
The Haunted Hallways is run by and sponsored by REACT. REACT stands for “Reality Even Affects Clinton Teens.” One of the other activities that REACT does is sponsoring Christmas in Clinton. Freshman Kyle Neumann, a REACT advocate, enjoys REACT, and he recommends it to students who might want to join. In order to be a volunteer in Haunted Hallways, you have to be a member of REACT. During club advisory, Kelly Edwards holds REACT in room number thirty-eight. They also meet in the library after school on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month.
This year the Haunted Hallways started in the band hall. From there it went to the English hall, then to the science hall, and it ended in the math hallway. Throughout these hallways, students dressed up in costumes jumped out at you, stalked you, and made loud noises in an attempt to scare you. It takes about five minutes to get through the hallways, but it is a very fun experience!
Kyle dressed up as a zombie and spooked people as they walked by. Kyle describes his experience at the Haunted Hallways as “fun” and “really enjoyable.” We asked him if he would recommend volunteering for the Haunted Hallways, and he said that he recommends it. Junior Maggie McBride said “I loved being in the Haunted Hallways. It’s fun to entertain people, and I like bonding with other kids.”
We hope to see you at the Haunted Hallways next year!
