At the beginning of the school year, we had yet another teacher join us here at The Morgan School. Susan Natale teaches Spanish in room one. She teaches Spanish level two and Spanish level four. She has always taught Spanish in the duration of her fifteen years of teaching. Mrs. Natale hopes to help students with language, to encourage them to explore more of the world and its possibilities. She told us that her favorite type of students are the ones who are polite and curious.
Before beginning her journey at Morgan, the language department welcomed her to come check out the classrooms and meet the teachers. She also received a gift from the Board of Education. She explained how Morgan differs in positive ways compared to other schools. Morgan has a more friendly and giving staff. She also enjoys the sizes of the classrooms and how comfortable our school is. Another example of how Morgan is different from other schools is the S.T.E.P. program provided in the summer.
She graduated from Fairview high school, and she continued onto college at Ohio University and CCSU. She eventually taught middle school and high school in Old Lyme and Old Saybrook.
Before teaching, she was a flight attendant and translated on flights for Eastern Airline which no longer exists. After this she began to work for a computer company, and she was the supervisor of CAD Training, Demonstrations & Curriculum for thirteen years.
Mrs. Natale is a great addition to our World Language department.
