This year at The Morgan School, many teachers have been out due to the birth of their new babies. These teachers include Physical Education Teacher Peter Gersz, School Psychologist Sara Thomas, Science Teacher Rachel O’ Reilly, Physical Education Teacher Kate Iverson, English teacher Paul Beckett, and Guidance Counselor Christie Williams-Khan. There are also two teachers expecting a child English Teacher Laurie Fasulo and Science Teacher Emily Lissy.
Ms. O’Reilly loves her cuddly new baby “But even more than that, it’s the unconditional love – us for him and him for us.” Her baby, Colin, shines a light in their life, whether it’s learning new things, or just simply trying to crawl around. Colin Thomas was born on July 14th.
Ms. Iverson loves every little thing about her daughter, Hannah, from the smiles to when she falls asleep in her arms. “Someone once told me that the days with a child go by slowly, but the years go by fast, and I know as a mother I will cherish every minute I get to have with my daughter.” Ms. Iverson loves watching her baby grow bigger and get stronger every single day.
Ms. Thomas had her very first child at the beginning of the school year. “I love how excited Maci gets when she sees me or my husband. The unconditional love is such a great feeling.” She loves watching her baby learn and figure out new things every single day. She also loves the toothless smile her little girl gives.
Mr.Beckett is enjoying his newborn son, Jack, who was born on April 17th at 3:19 p.m. “The thing I like most about being a parent is the meaning that he brings to every little thing I do. He forces me to be self-less, to work toward a cause other than myself and greater than myself. His every smile, his every facial expression, his every sneeze is the greatest blessing I have in my life.” He enjoys the light his son shines in his life.
Ms.Williams-Khan loves being a new parent. ” It has been one of the most rewarding (and challenging) experiences of my life. It’s amazing how this tiny little person can teach you so much!” She had her daughter, Aeva Adriana, on July 24th 2015.
Ms. Fasulo is due to have her baby girl June 8th. She is most excited about being a new mom. The baby’s room has been decorated to perfection with it’s teal and pink accented walls, along with a tree painted in the corner. She and her husband have decided that the theme of her room will be owls and woodland creatures. They are both excited for the new baby but are in dispute over which spring sport she will play. Ms. Fasulo wishes for her to play softball , whereas Mr. Fasulo wishes for her to play lacrosse.
