Senior Will Curry researched and created this video on the Vocaloid culture as the final project for a unit on culture and identity in UConn English.  He also recently published an Op-Ed: Finding a Balance with Humility.

When the details of this UConn English assignment were described to us, I, at first, thought I would have to choose a culture I was disconnected from. I am not really in touch with anything to do with my ethnicity, but I quickly realized that although I’m not in touch with national cultures, I am in touch with Vocaloid. I have been listening to mostly Vocaloid since middle school, and it’s one of the few cultures I can truly say I am a part of.
