Junior Lindsay Harden is the newest president of the National Honor Society (NHS) of Morgan. She was recently elected by her peers in the NHS. Jenna Morello was elected vice president. Lindsay was opposed by fellow members Alyssa Robinson and Juliana Ragonese.
The NHS is all about helping out the community of Morgan and the surrounding area of Clinton. Lindsay is very experienced in community service and excels at the craft. She gives her time and helping hands to an annual community service day in Bridgeport where she serves food to the less fortunate and runs the arts and craft station for kids. This includes face painting and basket weaving. Lindsay and her church make care packages for kids who attend the block party in Bridgeport which includes backpacks, school supplies and toothbrushes.
Lindsay’s focal points of her campaign were to continue the work the NHS already does such as the annual blood drive and the new coat drive, started by the 2015 NHS president Judy Chicoine. Lindsay loves the idea of the coat drive because of how many people need coats and how there are so many willing to give away perfectly functional coats they no longer use. Lindsay would also like to collaborate with the Partners in Community (PIC) of Clinton, to use both the NHS and the PIC’s resources to make Clinton a better place.
I think Lindsay is going to make a great president for the NHS. What do you think?
