Freshman Year: A Process

Written by Kelsey Novak |

As the Fall Semester of 2013 comes to a close, freshman year is still in full swing. Previously there were interviews of freshmen by Emily Sobieraj in her article Freshmen Impressions.  What’s happened since these freshmen entered Morgan?

Juliana Ragonese, freshman, states, “Upperclassman are open and willing to help. It’s a good community here for the most part.” It is rumored to those in middle school that the seniors and juniors keep to themselves, but it is true that any upperclassmen would help out a freshman if needed.

Matt Capece, freshman, claims, “Not as hard as I thought it would be. Upperclassmen don’t bully like I thought they would. Overall it has been a good experience and sports helps out a lot.” Entering high school is always scary and overwhelming, but Matt and many other freshmen agree that The Morgan School is a great place to be.

Freshman year does not define your next 3 years in high school.  Join a club, try a new sport, be more open and social. Make the most of your high school career, but remember, we all start off as freshmen, and it can only get better from there.
