With a season that would be a failure if they fall short of a NBA Title, the Miami Heat are put back on their heels after being put down 3-2 in the series against the Celtics. The Heat were leading the series 2-0 and had the finals in sight when the Celtics made a quick charge to push the Heat out of the way. Lebron James and Dewayne Wade are two players that usually have their way in big games, but on Tuesday the Celtics determined the outcome for those two. When it came down to heart and intensity, the Celtics have certainly been the leaders in that category the past three games. Being led by Guard, Rajon Rondo, the Celtics have dominated the paint and disturbed the Heat’s ability to run the fast break.
Paul Peirce a seasoned veteran has led this team for numerous years and last night put the icing on the cake. With under a minute left in the game, Peirce put his Celtics in a great position to finish the game. With 6’9 Lebron James in his face, Peirce took a bold shot to place his Celtics in the lead. Making a three pointer to instill confidence in his team to close out the game, Peirce deflated the Heat’s momentum. This putting the Celtics up in the series 3-2 will give the Celtics a great chance to continue on to the finals with one more win to go. Peirce and Rondo look to be catalysts for the offense in completing the series.
